Walking On Sunshine

Big things are happening here in Tennessee! Everyday Lincoln learns, and grows, and grows, and learns, which I think is one of my favorite things about being a mommy. I constantly look at him and think, "My goodness, how did he get so big?" But how fast he is growing up just blows my mind. At his 9 month appointment last week, he weighed in shortly over 20 pounds.

To name just a few of the things he learned how to do... yesterday he learned how to give real high-fives. A few days before that he learned how to fake cough after copying mommy. Now he walks around fake coughing (followed with giggles). Also, notice how I said "...he walks around..." Yep, he walks. Holy smokes, he walks. The biggest milestone we've reached yet! He also knows that when daddy chases him, he needs to get-ta-running! He runs with his arms up in the air and his chest puffed out. Usually his little body goes faster than his tiny feet do which results in him crashing. Game over for Lincoln... tickle, tickle, tickle!!!

He knows that when you grab onto the end of the toilet paper hanging on the wall and pull, it can be pulled all the way out into the hallway. He knows that when we say, "No," he laughs and continues doing whatever it was he was doing, or run away. He knows how to pick food up and put it in his mouth. He knows how to play peek-a-boo. Aaand he knows how to say bababa, dadada, papapa, and blka-blka-blka. So basically everything but mamama. He used to say it, but has seemingly forgotten.

I could go on and on all day about how fast he is growing up. All mommies ask the same question of where does the time go? A little bittersweet, yes, but also so exciting! But with each day of him growing up, our hearts grow as well. We love our little man so much and can't wait to celebrate all that he will learn.

Finally, hello to everyone at home - we miss you! Happy Super Bowl Day! And because it would be un-Tennessee-an of me to not say - GO BRONCOS!
